The series Heads Up was inspired by my sister-in-law. I offered to do a painting for a Christmas gift one year and she immediately had one in mind. A local gallery had a painting of a llama's head with a spiky hair and she loved it - though couldn't afford the original. I was inspired but decided to use a certain famous cat food spokescat as a model for a painting in a similar style. I had so much fun that I just kept going!
